Series Three

Since its inception, the Movie Maniacs series has been one of McFarlane Toys' best-selling lines. The mixture of figures - from avenging angel to subhuman slayer to demonic doll to run-of-the-mill madman - runs the ghoulish gamut. The third line of Movie Maniacs figures features such film legends as Edward Scissorhands (from the Tim Burton film), Ash (from the Sam Raimi film "Army of Darkness"), Snake Plissken (the protagonist of the classic "Escape from L.A."), BrundleFly (from David Cronenberg), Samuel L Jackson (from Shaft) and The Thing (the vicious beast from the John Carpenter film) not forgeting the delux figure of KING KONG.

Sameul L. Jackson from John Singleton's summer hit Shaft!

The Fly, from the 1986 David Cronenberg classic movie, gives new meaning to "ironing the bugs out." Ambitious young scientist Seth Brundle has created a teleportation machine. He tests the device on himself, but a common housefly gets into the portal with him. The computer somehow synthesizes Brundle's DNA with that of the fly, creating a new species, Brundlefly. It starts slowly, but Brundle eventually devolves into a four-legged housefly with sticky limbs and acidic vomit. And The Fly action figure comes complete with a custom drool base

Edward Scissorhands, based on the title character of Tim Burton's stunning 1990 film. This highly articulated action figure captures both the innocence and potential for violence inside Edward Scissorhands as he tries to cope with his disability: scissors for fingers.

Series Four

Well, its become one of the most anticipated releases of any action figure year - the latest series of McFarlane's Movie Maniacs. More thatn any other line, this is the one that has helped to speed the quality bar upwards with its great scuplting and detailing. This years range looks to be one of the strongest ever, bringing fans at least 3 figures they have been slavering after for years. Arnie's Terminator and T1000 and - at last - a Clive Barker character in the much demanded Candyman. the very popular Ash from MM3 has led to Evil Ash. Rounding out the mix, we're bang up to date with Blair Witch.

This unique creation - Todd's vision of the unseen Blair Witch character - was released with two different head sculpts and two different torsos. Plans call for a 50-50 production run split on the figure, so neither will be more rare than the other. Blair Witch is 6 13/16 inches tall with seven articulation points. She comes with a stickman, an axe and a bundle of sticks containing body parts. The Blair Witch
Stands 6 15/16 inches tall and has 10 points of articulation. His jacket will be molded in soft PVC, so it can be displayed closed or open to reveal his open body cavity. He also includes a cluster of bees inside the body cavity and, of course, that hook hand. Candyman
The evil version of this popular character is also the same as shown earlier. He's 7 3/8 inches tall with six articulation points. Evil Ash includes two swords, a belt and scabbard, body armor, a cape and real chains. Evil Ash
This last-minute substitution came about when the Jason X movie was rescheduled until 2002; McFarlane has moved the Jason X figure back to next year's Movie Maniacs V. The new Freddy Krueger is based on 2000's 18-inch Freddy sculpt. He stands 7 1/2 inches to the top of his removable hat and has nine points of articulation.
Freddy Kruger
This figure is shipping with one head, the battle-damaged unit. Standing 7 1/8 inches tall, T-800 has 11 points of articulation. He also includes a grenade launcher, a removable grenade-laden bandoleer, a pistol and removable sunglasses T800
This figure is 6 7/8 inches tall with 11 points of articulation. The blister contains two separate torsos: the bullet-riddled one and the exploded version, each with a different head attached. The bullet-riddled torso also has two accessory arms (hook and spear) that are interchangeable with the human-style arms. T-1000 also includes a pistol, gunbelt and walkie talkie. T1000
